Fuel charges change: NEPRA endorses duty climb of Rs3.09 per unit The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Saturday expanded power tax by Rs3.09 per unit by virtue of fuel charges change (FCA) for December 2021.
As per a notice gave in such manner, the FCA for December 2021 will be accused of the bill of February 2022, which will be paid by all purchaser classifications of dissemination organizations, aside from life saver and K-Electric customers.

The Rs3.09 increment will put a weight of around Rs30 billion on customers, including GST. The said change will be shown independently in the customers' bills based on units charged to the shoppers in the long stretch of December 2021 by the XWDISCOs.
"XWDISCOs will mirror the fuel charges change in regard of December 2021 in the charging month of February 2022," the notice read.
It is appropriate to specify here that prior, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) had requested that Pakistan increment power and gas costs to adjust energy duties with cost recuperation.
